Don’t you think this should be the flagship meal for backyard farmers? It’s a meal that comes completely from DIY efforts. The eggs, potatoes and onions all ours. The salad plucked from from our garden.
Very rewarding. And tastes like success.
I’m sure my Spanish grandfather would have been proud. Maybe not. Who knows.
Looks delish. I some potatoes from the garden the other night with rosemary, served with zucchini basil, nasturtums and heirloom tomatoes. All from our pots and small rental property garden. Great feeling and tasted great!
I’m nuts about flowers in stuff!! So pretty. Earlier in the season I made a Salty Dog with thyme flowers in it and it rocked! (oh yeah, the pancake looks nice too)
YUMMMMMMMMMMMM
yum
Mmmm, I remember my first Spanish tortilla. I was so confused! I went to Spain not knowing the difference and I was so pleasantly surprised! Your photos are absolutely stunning!
Totally different aren’t they! And very tasty!
there are a thousand ways to make the Spanish omelette made with very cooked egg or undercooked too, with or without onion, sausage, shrimp …. but to all, that we like the most, is that our mother made us. Your daughters would adore definitely yours. Sure.
Yeah sometimes I sneak in some sausage….sometimes some greens. Always divine!
I worked in a Spanish restaurant in Riverside, CA for years. I love tortilla espanola! I made one for dinner last night with a variety of veggies that needed to be cooked or tossed and served it with ensalada! Que Rico!
Yum!
I am Spanish, it looks like he would be proud.
Congratulations for the blog.
Thanks you very much. Well even if he wouldn’t be we love to make it and eat it. Delish!
Looks beautiful! I’m a big fan of the Spanish tortilla, and your version looks delicious.
Hate to confess to this but I’ve never had one – but gotta say if it tastes as delicious as it looks count me in.
Goes to show that a fabulous filling meal is possible with just a couple of staple ingredients – and a little thought.
