I’ve been really fortunate to meet some amazing people via this site, and for that I am very grateful. My life has been enriched because of it.

I’ve been inspired by and introduced to adventure seekers, logcabineers, photographers and plenty of food folk (too many to mention).

In recent months I bumped into Luis, who lives in Galacia, Spain. Discounting the fact that we both have Spanish blood in our veins, we have other things in common. Luis is a maker, an artist, a philosopher and a man passionately embracing his environment a force of a powerful affection for nature. Luis makes many a fine thing, but one item initially caught my eye, His ‘Nordic’ nesting box which is one of a handful of designs that Luis makes and then installs them in nature high in trees as a gift. He also happens to sell them, and inspired by his current life project I made a purchase.

Yesterday it arrived, and of course it’s a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, and it now proudly hangs in our yard. There was also a little surprise that made us all feeling very chuffed. Luis had included a hand drawn picture of a sweet bird that is just beautiful and is heading for a framed position on our wall. What a talented man. So go over and say Hi to Luis and check out his bird houses.
