Only a week ago I was rolling up the sleeves of my shirt as my body temperature rose working in the veg patch. Now they’re rolled down and jackets are back on as a September cold snap from the south ripped through town. This is not nice treatment for all the summer veg I’m trying to proper gate. I guess it’s just nature reminding us who’s boss. But seriously Huey’….bugger off with the cold, bring on the warm. I want to feel my toes again. (for non Australians ‘Huey’ is a coloquialism for the ‘bloke’ in the clouds that brings the Rain)
Man I thought that white stuff was gravel… and then realised it was hail!! It’s been freezing here on the coast too, but starting to warm up again now… Hope it is your way too.
Walking to work today was like the middle of winter. It’s a bit crap really. But I noticed that my Sunflower seeds have now popped their little heads out of the soil, determined to be spring even if the weather isn’t playing nice.
