Walnut collecting under the old trees at secret locations around the region give’s me great joy. The kids love collecting them too, plus us adults get to use as many naughty nut puns as we know, actually I’m normally the main culprit. The nuts often end up in a walnut pesto but this season I might do something ‘bakey’ and sweet. What this space. Nice nuts eh! (Sitting on my fire mantlepiece do dry out for a few weeks).
love your nuts

so, a tad random … but I think those walnuts are from my grandfathers old tree. I have such strong memories of cracking walnuts with him and the trips to the tree. He’s been gone a long time, and I live far away … I think he’d be pleased watching you from his hill top grave. He’d like your style, he’d have loved your rabbit dish.
Hi Penny, Where abouts is this tree?
learmonth, not far from the lake. vague enough for you?
Penny I’m a captivated audience. The tree’s I go to fit in your description but I have a feeling you might be talking of another tree. Which means I need to pop on my exploring boots! The chance of finding another tree is like Christmas! Especially an older tree!
or your billycart pants, I don’t know the name of the road but it was at the bottom of an awesome ride!!
