A little precursor to the harvest season. It’s funny how excited a gardener can get over a few ripe strawberries, and onion and garlic.
I smoked a trout last night but it took so long because of the strong wind sucking all the smoke out of the smoker! So I left it in over night and put it to good use today. It was a nice treat with a cup of tea and some adult conversation with friends sans kids. Smoked trout mixed with Philly cheese and garden dill on toasted Turkish bread. Simple and delicious. I’m using the remaining trout meat for a pizza idea tonight. Could be a right disaster but were’s the harm in trying.

And wasn’t it a delicious lunch! Thanks. x
I’d love to know your method of smoking the trout.
Nice. You must have used quite a few rizzlas when preparing that trout spliff.
Boyakasha!
I always get a dirty look when I go out the back to smoke da trout. The ladies just don’t understand.
